Nature walk- Gananoque Lichen, Fungi, Bug, Dog and unsuspecting Husband Photographer

Because darn it, I refuse to be put in a box. UNBOX ME!
Today I was bored and so I asked my husband to come with me, my camera and the dog for a walk through the woods on a local nature trail in Gananoque.
I warned him that I WOULD be stopping frequently to take pictures (this is not his favourite thing to do) so we spent a good portion of the walk in completely separate locations along the trail. I didn’t know what I would be photographing, but I kept my eyes open for opportunity. It’s worth noting that on the way home, once we were out of the woods, I walked all the way across a field with my camera in front of my face, chasing an extremely large dragonfly hoping he would land… but I was disappointed when he didn’t. Which is why I am NOT a bug photographer. I think that would mean that I would have to sit still and be more patient than I am. (come HERE pretty bug… come HE-E-E-RE doesn’t work, I’ve tried).

As my wife sometimes puts it, “I don’t want to take a walk with your camera.” When I do bring the camera on our walks, I’ve had to get better at framing and capturing quickly, as well as running after her.

    Nice fungus here!
